Why you became a Vegan: I became vegan after watching videos and doing research online about factory farming.
History Competing: New to competing. My first competition will be the 2017 California Open WAKSC World Championship.
What drives you to compete: Competition goal oriented training has made exercising fun and pushes me to get to the gym.
What do you see as the biggest advantages of being a vegan athlete: I have energy for my workouts, don’t feel weighed down, and have faster recovery time.
What types of supplements if any do you use: I like to switch it up. I’ve used Vega Sport Protein Powder, Orgain, D’s Naturals, and Clean Machine.
How would you describe your diet while preparing for a competition: I try to eat clean and track macros.
Favorite food in your prep diet: I love oatmeal, sweet potatoes, tofu, seitan, and peanut butter!
How would you describe your training for a competition: I have kettlebell training 3-4 times per week. I will switch up doing intervals and full sets in Kettlebell Snatch, Long Cycle, and Jerks.
Favorite exercises: Deadlifts, long cycle, snatches, bicep curls, overhead presses, and hiking.
How many hours a week do you spend training: 8-10
Today I am most proud of: How much I have changed my lifestyle over the last few years. I eat healthier, exercise regularly, and have made positive friends and influences.
