Why you became a vegan: I became a vegetarian when I was 18 just to see if I could do it. I soon realized how much healthier I was. I began to watch documentaries and read more about what actually happens to the animals. I wanted to live a compassionate lifestyle. When I was 21, I made the decision to become fully vegan.

I will be competing in the Central Regional in Minneapolis, MN.
What drives you to compete: I am competitive by nature. I love training and competing to see how hard I can push myself.
What do you see as the biggest advantages of being a vegan athlete:
I recover a lot faster.
What types of supplements if any do you use?: Veggie Elite protein and BCAAs
How would you describe your diet while preparing for a competition: it doesn’t change much from what I typically eat day to day.
Favorite food in your prep diet: sweet potatoes
How would you describe your training for a competition: I typically train 3 days on, 1 day off. I will usually do my gym’s workout for the day and then do extra strength and accessory work plus another workout that focuses on my weaknesses.
Favorite exercises: pull ups and overhead squats
Strongest skills: handstand push ups and pull ups
How many hours a week do you spend training?: 15-20 hours
Today I am most proud of: My hard work over this last year to get better and making it with a team to go to regionals.
